Synchrologic, Inc.
Privacy Policy
Synchrologic is committed to protecting your personal information, and your
privacy is a top priority. We have designed the services we offer through our
Web Site at http://www.readysyncgo.com ("Web Site") to respect your
privacy. This Privacy Policy tells you what information we collect from you, how
we use that information, the measures we take to ensure your personal
information is secure, and your options. This Privacy Policy addresses our Web
Site only. For information regarding use of our software product, ReadySyncGo!,
including information regarding how your personal information is collected, used
and safeguarded when you use ReadySyncGo!, please click here to review our Terms and Conditions of Use.
What Information We Collect
Registration Information: Generally, you can browse our Web Site without
revealing who you are or any personal information about yourself. However, in
order to use ReadySyncGo!, our synchronization service and/or Web-based Personal
Information Manager (the "Service"), you must register as a member.
The Registration Form requires you to provide us with certain information,
including but not limited to, your name; the country, time zone and zip code of
your residence; and your e-mail address. Some of this information is personally
identifiable information, such as your name and e-mail address. Use of this Web
Site and use of our ReadySyncGo! product is meant for adults, and we do not
knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.
Information Related to Our Products: You may choose to provide various types of
information to us, such as your schedule or contact list information, in order
to utilize our products and services. It is your choice whether to provide such
information. Any such information you provide in order to utilize our products
and services is your personal information and we will not share it with any
unaffiliated third parties without your consent except as disclosed in this
Privacy Policy. In addition, we may conduct occasional online surveys. For
example, when you're within our Web site, you may see a pop-up window offering
you the optional opportunity of participating in a survey. These surveys are
entirely voluntary and you may decline to participate.
Web Site Usage Information: Our web servers may automatically collect Web
Site usage information, which is anonymous information about our visitors and
subscribers that describes how our Web Site is used and navigated, including the
number and frequency of visitors and subscribers to each web page, and the
length of their stays. The information we collect also includes anonymous
information automatically sent to us by your web browser, such as referrers and
IP addresses. A referrer is data sent by a web browser that identifies the Web
Site visited prior to visiting our Web Site. We may use this data to identify
Web Sites that refer visitors to our Web Site. Generally, this information is
used to identify broad user trends and traffic patterns. IP addresses are used
by computers connected to the Internet for identification purposes. Your IP
address is a number that is used by computers on the network to identify your
computer so that data can be sent to you or access granted to a certain Web
Site.
We also keep track of which of our registered members actively are utilizing our
software and this Web Site, for our own internal maintenance purposes and to
gauge the effectiveness of our marketing programs.
Cookies
Like most Web Sites, ReadySyncGo! makes use of browser "cookies."
Cookies are small files that can be sent from a Web Site and stored on your
computer hard drive or temporarily in your computer's memory, to help our Web
Site recognize you. Written as a simple text file, a cookie helps your browser
remember specific information that our web server can later retrieve. Cookies
are designed to make your online experience more convenient. For example, if you
check the "remember me" box when you log in, we will use a cookie to
store your log in information between sessions. We may also use cookie
technology to tailor the layout or the content of the Web site, based on
preferences you have selected.
In addition, to protect your privacy, we use cookies to maintain "session
state"; that is, we place a cookie in your browser when you successfully
log in to our site, and then we ask your browser for that cookie each time you
view a different page on our site, to make sure that you have established a
valid login session. This means that your browser must accept cookies in order
to use our Web Service.
What We Do With the Information We Collect
The personally identifiable information you provide at the time of registration
is collected in our web server logs and subscriber databases and is held in the
utmost confidence. We will not sell, rent, or disclose any information collected
on this Web Site to unaffiliated third parties without your consent except as
disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
We may use the information about you that you give us in a number of ways,
including personalizing your online experience, contacting you about the
products and services we offer, understanding broad demographic trends about the
users of our Service, targeting our products and services to your interests, and
using the information you give us as necessary and as requested by you to
provide you with our products and services. For example, if your schedule
reflects you are planning a trip, we may send you information, such as the
weather report, for your destination. We may share certain anonymous, aggregate
information, such as the number of our registered users, with our content
providers or other third parties.
We may also use information about you to enforce our Terms and Conditions. And,
we may share information about you with third parties when legally required to
do so; at the request of a governmental authority conducting an investigation;
whenever we believe disclosure is necessary to limit our legal liability; or in
the event of a fundamental corporate change.
Relationships with Third Parties
We have relationships with third parties that allow us to deliver certain
content to you, such as a weather report or directions to a destination.
Generally, we share no information about you with these third parties and you
remain completely anonymous. However, we offer certain services to you that
require us, at your request, to share information about you with a third party,
such as if you ask us to obtain your travel itinerary. We only provide such
services to you at your specific request and we only share with the third party
the specific information you enter at the time you request the service. We do
not currently accept advertisements on the Web Site, but we reserve the right to
do so in the future.
How We Protect Your Information
Synchrologic takes all reasonable precautions to protect your personal
information, including strict security measures whenever our members' data is
collected and transmitted. While no security system is 100% guaranteed, and
there is always some risk that an unauthorized third party may find a way to
thwart our security system or that transmissions over the Internet will be
intercepted, Synchrologic utilizes several state-of-the-art tools to protect
your information. Our current practices include:
Synchrologic utilizes an Internet security technology known as a Secure Sockets
Layer (SSL) protocol to help protect your information. The "s" in the
"https" address of Synchrologic's Web pages, as well as the browser
security notices displayed by Netscape and Internet Explorer, indicate that SSL
is in use. Synchrologic also employs 128-bit encryption, which means that your
information is transmitted over the Internet as a meaningless string of
characters.
If you have requested that we transmit your information to a third party, we do
so through a dedicated and secured network, or 128 bit encryption technology,
whenever these technologies are supported by the third parties. Not all of these
third parties currently provide the capability of encrypted communications with
our servers, and in these cases we transmit the data unencrypted ("clear
text").
Synchrologic stores your information in a secure database behind a
"firewall." A firewall is simply a software and hardware product that
limits access by outside computers. Synchrologic also limits internal access to
your information to authorized employees, to whom access is granted only for the
purpose of troubleshooting and diagnostics regarding the Service.
In addition, Synchrologic protects your personal information through the use of
a unique username and password for each individual subscriber. This helps
prevent someone from entering the site, pretending to be you, and accessing your
information. Should you ever forget your password, we will first verify your
identity and then send your password to your registered e-mail address. If you
ask us to remember your name and password, that information is stored in an
encoded format on your computer.
Your Choices
At the time you provide us with your personal information, you are given the
opportunity to decline further notices and information from us regarding
promotional offers and relevant news relating to your use of the Web Site and
our Service. If you later decide you no longer want to receive promotional
e-mails from us, you can always remove yourself from the promotional e-mail list
by visiting the Web Site, clicking on "Setup / Account", and checking
the box that states "Exclude me from promotional mailings". However,
we reserve the right to contact you at any time with important information
regarding system downtime or other availability issues, as well as changes to
our Privacy Policy, our Terms and Conditions of use, or other policies that
affect you and your use of our Web Site and Service.
Your Ability To Review, Correct And Delete Your Information
At any time, you may review, correct, or delete your personal information stored
on the ReadySyncGo! servers. Simply log onto the ReadySyncGo! Web site with your
username and password and select "Setup / Account" from the menu.
To delete your personal information, and all of the Personal Information Manager
("PIM") data stored on your behalf, ReadySyncGo! offers an
"Unsubscribe" feature. To Unsubscribe, log into the ReadySyncGo! Web
site using your username and password, and then select "Setup /
Account" from the menu. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click
the "Unsubscribe" button. However, please note that we back up your
data to prevent inadvertent loss. This means that your personal information may
exist in a non-erasable format, and it may not be feasible to remove each and
every record of the information that you have provided us. Upon receiving your
Unsubscribe request, we will remove all of your personally identifiable
information and the data stored on your behalf in active databases.
Policy Modifications
We reserve the right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy statement at
any time, at our sole discretion. If Synchrologic makes any changes to this
Privacy Policy, we will post those changes here, so be sure to check back
periodically. However, be assured that we will only use the personal information
you provide us in accordance with the Privacy Policy in effect at that time
unless you provide us affirmative consent to do otherwise. Your continued use of
our Web Site constitutes acceptance of the terms of this Privacy Policy.
We Welcome Your Feedback
If you have questions about information security, privacy, and usage at
Synchrologic that were not answered here, please e-mail us at feedback@readysyncgo.com.
